Yes, those are unique visitors per day. You can really look at as the number of households visiting the website everyday. So, if a household has more than one person viewing the website, then in theory the number of visitors could be larger.

Thank you Terry for that report! I was wondering how many people were actually viewing this website. You ARE the MAN! Are each of these visitors unique? As in not multiple visits in the same day, but different people?

Hey All,
I case you were curious about the number of visitors on the website following the progress of the race, here are the numbers:

On the day the race started, 06/20/09: There were 348 vistors, with over 4100 hits. That's a 19% increase from the previous day.

On monday, 06/22/09: There were 638 visitors, with over 9200 hits. That's a 32% increase from the previous day.
and so far today, as of 1:30pm pst on 06/23/09: There are 429 visitors, with over 6300 hits.
I'm sure you would also like to know, there have been visitors from all over the globe following your progress. The largest of these is, of course, from the United States. But there have been visitors from Canada, China, Austrailia, England, France, Spain, Sweden, Slovenia, Russia, Romania, Germany, Norway, Austria, Guam, India, Italy, Jamacia, Malaysia, Singapore, South Africa, Switzerland and Japan.
Keep up the good work. You're helping to spread awareness and inspire others all over the globe.
